A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways. In an open valve, fluid flows in a direction from higher pressure to lower pressure.
Valves are found in virtually every industrial process, including water & sewage processing, mining, power generation, processing of oil, gas & petroleum, food manufacturing, chemical & plastic manufacturing and many other fields.
And, like many other pieces of industrial equipment, valves have erosion/corrosion troubles which lead to lower efficiencies.
Belzona 1311 (Ceramic R-Metal) and Belzona 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal) have been used in water processing facilities for over 60 years to combat the effects of erosion/corrosion. By simply grit blasting the substrate, rebuilding the worn and damaged areas and then applying a topcoat you protect the valve from any further damage, indefinitely.
We’ve been working with municipalities for 35 years here in the Midwest to reclaim their component equipment, won’t you let us help save your budget by having us repair, protect and improve your pumps and valves?
And while this video is for a power plant the valve rebuilding process is the same.
